Water taxi go along Neva River
New boats go in test mode - every half hour. Official opening of the central route will take a week, and the interval of movement will be reduced by half.
Ticket price is only 50 rubles (25 rubes for children). It is much cheaper than tourist boats. But you can enjoy the city only during the day – water taxi works from 8.00 to 20.00.
- We have four boats on the route, but we are planning to have seven or eight, - Denis Sinochkin, Director of Development of Inter Yacht Service, said.
According to him, 12-seat boats were designed and built in St. Petersburg specifically for this project at Izhora shipyards.
It is spacious and comfortable inside. Water trip might be more pleasant and romantic than usual traffic jams inside the city. These boats will move until October, till the end of navigation.
The only problem – is a place of the final stop on the route – on Sinopskaya Embankment. Passengers should cross the highway to use metro station there. And traffic is very busy that place.
By the way, troubles on Primorsky route have gone. Our correspondent saw the boat took the passengers right in time on Arsenalnaya Embankment and the next came in 10 minutes.
- Four boats move regularly between the Old Village and Arsenalnaya Embankment, - Melik Sarkisyan, General Director of the carrier MBC said.
