Water taxi starts moving through the historical part of St. Petersburg

Water taxi starts moving along the Central Line through the waters of the Neva in the historic part of the city - from the pier “The Bronze Horseman” to the Sinopskaya embankment (hotel "Moscow"). 4 boats of Sikamper type with capacity of 12 people each work on this route. There are stops near the Peter and Paul Fortress (Kronverksky bridge), Summer Garden, Arsenalnaya Embankment, Robespierre Embankment, Smolny, Sverdlovsk Embankment (hotel Okhtinskaya).

The route will operate from 08.00 to 20.00 with intervals of movement around 30 minutes, while the route is 45 minutes. The fare is 50 rubles for adults and 25 rubles for children.

According to the Chairman of the Committee on transport-transit policy of the Government of St. Petersburg Nikolai Asaul, the city has successfully implemented three lines - "Primorskaya", "Suburban", "Kronstadt". The citizens and visitors use the taxi because they like the view and there are no traffic jams on water route.

"Water Taxi" is intended to improve the existing transport situation by redistribution of traffic from the ground transport to water transport, Nikolay Asaul said.
