July, 8 - the fourth day of racing – strength of the wind

The fourth day of competition in the European Championships on sport boats – there was hold one long distance race of 18.2 nautical miles.

Initially it was stated 36 nautical miles, but because of weather and wind, the distance was reduced.

The race was started at 17:18 Moscow time. The strength of the wind has changed from 0 to 20 meters per second. The teams tried to catch the wind with all possible ways. 

During the storm the German boat «Rocking Girl» has broken and it had to leave the race.

Boats Zvezda (Russia) and "Raketa" (Russia) have finished with a damaged sails. After the race the team of Enigma had a protest to the team of the Globe (Russia) but the international jury acknowledged this protest to be invalid.

The leaders of the race number 4 are:

1.Sky Fly (Russia)

2. Levante (Lithuania)

3. Courage (Russia)
