Deputy Chairman A. Bakirey attended a meeting of the Maritime Board under the Government of the Russian Federation under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Ivanov in Voronezh

Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Transport and Transit Policy A. Bakirey has attended a meeting of the Maritime Board of the Government, which took place on July 8, 2010 in Voronezh.

There were discussed measures to preserve cultural and historical heritage associated with development of Russia as a maritime country. Internal waterways management system development has also become a topic for discussion. Also during this meeting was discussed the draft annual report to the President of the Russian Federation "On complex assessment of the national security of maritime activities in 2009 and proposals for its maintenance". Chief of Navy, Vice-Chairman of the Maritime Board V.S. Vysotsky has reported the position of the federal bodies of executive power on the feasibility of a draft federal law "On state management of maritime activities of Russia".
