Delegation of External Transport Agency and Water Transport Management visited London

August, 8-11, 2010, delegation of the Committee on Transport and Transit Policy and St. Petersburg State agencies “Water Transport Management” and “External Transport Agency” has visited London for detailed study of London experience in organization of a system of marine passenger transport design and construction of berthing facilities, transport of the city, movement of trucks control system.

Delegation of External Transport Agency met with representatives of companies PIE, Freight Transport Association, Halcrow, ITS systems, the London municipal administration of Westminster on the control of the movement of trucks.

Delegation of Water Transport Managmenet participated in meetings with London Duck Company, Thames Clipper, Beckett Rankine to study a system of marine passenger transport wharf.

The visit laid the groundwork for close professional contacts to exchange experience in organizing the movement of freight transport in London and St. Petersburg, use of practices in London on the organization of water transportation of passengers in St. Petersburg.
